Directive 2014/34/EU
EU directive governing equipment for explosive atmospheres. Mandatory CE marking. Requires Notified Body EU-Type Examination Certificate.
IEC 60079 series
International certification scheme for explosive atmospheres. Accepted in 30+ countries including UK, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Singapore.
Worker Protection
Requires employers to classify zones, select appropriate equipment, and implement an Explosion Protection Document. Transposed as DSEAR (UK), VEXAT (AT).
